Dear Washington Wizards,
Our classrooms are buzzing with learning, laughter, and a touch of fall fun. Wishing you a week full of crisp air, big smiles, and pumpkin-flavored everything!
Shout-Outs & Spotlights
Spot WOW: Thank you to our “Morse Ave Dads” for the painting of our PTO parking spots. They look beautiful! As a reminder, these spots are only for families who won them through our PTO.
Math Magic: Shout out to our 2nd grade teachers for leading a math information session for parents both virtually and in-person. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with our families!
Reminders for Families
As a reminder, each day we have time for a quick, healthy snack in all grades. The snack is only about 5-10 mins in length. Please try to separate your child’s lunch from the small snack that is sent in.
I hope you will join us next week at our Harvest Festival from 3:30-5:00pm! Thank you to all our volunteers who have already helped make this day so special.
As Halloween is rapidly approaching, we would like to share guidelines to ensure our school remains safe for students, staff, and teachers. Weather permitting, parents are invited to attend the outdoor parade on Friday, October 31st starting at 2:30 pm on the backfield. They will change into their costumes after lunch/recess.
Students K-2 must come to school fully dressed in their costumes.
Changing into costumes will not be permitted in school.
Costumes should be simple and not require staff assistance during the day.
Students 3-5th should bring their costumes to school
They will change into their costumes after lunch/recess.
Costumes should be simple and not require staff assistance to be put on
Costumes should be comfortable and safe for school.
Oversize costumes and props of any kind are not permitted.
Students must be able to walk outdoors safely in costume.
Students should be able to independently use the bathroom while in costume.
Unfortunately, parents are not permitted to come into the school to assist with costumes. Class parents will be on hand, however, and can assist lightly with costumes and many other fun games and activities. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we look to provide a fun and safe environment for all on October 31st!
Our Parent Presentations, in conjunction with NJ4S, launches this month on 10/21 at 7:00pm. Please use this link to register for the first workshop: Bullying Breakthrough: Rights, Support, and Solutions.
