Dear Washington Wizards,
Welcome to the second week of May! The challenge this week is to engage with the hidden natural beauty and unique local flavors of our area. Pack a picnic and find a new trail to hike or bike, visit a nearby farm stand or farmers' market or spend an evening stargazing in a lesser-known park. Embrace the spirit of discovery and connect with the natural world and local culture right where we live.
Shout-Outs & Spotlights
To end this staff appreciation week, I’d like to take a moment to recognize the exceptional dedication of our entire staff. Day in and day out, they go the extra mile to ensure that Washington remains a nurturing, supportive, and engaging environment for all students. Please join me in extending sincere thanks to the remarkable individuals who make Washington such a special place. Thank you, Washington staff, for making our school such a wonderful place to work and learn!
We also want to send a huge thank you to our amazing PTO and Washington families for helping make this week so special! From the coffee and flower bar to the relaxing massages, delicious snacks and lunch, and the thoughtful spa gift baggies, every detail meant so much to us. Your generosity and support truly made us feel appreciated and celebrated. We’re so grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community. Thank you for everything you do!
Finally, we want to take a moment to celebrate all the wonderful mothers and mother figures in our school. Your love, support, and dedication make such a meaningful difference in the lives of our students each and every day. We are so grateful for all that you do, both at home and as part of our school family. Wishing you a relaxing, joyful, and well-deserved Mother’s Day!
