As we enter June, the final month of the school year, we continue our journey under the theme "Ignite the Spark: A New Beginning." This month, we invite our community to focus on Spark Reflection, a time to look back on your year, reflect on all the challenges you’ve completed and the changes you’ve experienced, and celebrate how far you’ve come!
Shout-Outs & Spotlights
Field day - A huge thank you to Mr. Cornetta and Mr. Carroll for their outstanding organization of Field Day, and to all the family volunteers who helped make it a success. A special thank you also goes to the PTO for providing a delicious ice cream truck treat to round out the day!
Let’s Go Band - Thank you to all of our 4th and 5th graders for their hard work practicing and for showing such courage during their final band performance on Thursday. We also want to extend a special thanks to Mr. Vetrero and Mr. Wiedman for the dedicated time they have spent working with our students week after week.
Family Fun - An early thank you to all the PTO chairs and parent volunteers who helped make our family picnic a huge success. We can’t wait for a night of fun tonight!
Reminders for Families
Weather permitting, items from our growing lost and found table, will be displayed on the Morse Avenue blacktop this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please take a moment to look for any missing belongings, as all remaining items will be donated at the conclusion of the week.
We are so excited that our long-awaited 5th Grade musical, Finding Nemo Jr., will be performed on Thursday, June 4th, with showings at 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 1:00 pm for the afternoon performance and 6:30 pm for the evening performance. Students are required to return to school by 6:00 pm to prepare for the evening show. While we are pleased to offer unlimited guest attendance, please be aware that seating is limited and it will likely be standing room only; additionally, the gym will be quite warm, so please plan accordingly.
Let's get our library books home! We'd love your help in rounding up any school library books that might be hiding around your house. While the last day to check out new favorites is June 5th, we're aiming to have all our books back and cozy on their shelves before the school year wraps up. If you're unsure about any missing items, keep an eye out for a friendly email from Mrs. Telesmanich with all the next steps!
