Welcome

Dear Washington Wizards,

Laying the Foundation: A Message from Mrs. O’Brien

What a first week! As we wrap up our first few days together, we have already begun laying some important bricks in the foundation of our school year. We are learning names, finding our routines, getting to know one another, and discovering what it means to be part of the Washington School community. While the first week can bring a mix of excitement, nerves, and a whole lot of newness, each day gives us another opportunity to build a little stronger. This week, we will continue focusing on belonging, teamwork, and our classroom expectations, reminding our students that every person has an important role in building a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued. Every great castle starts with a strong foundation—and our foundation is already taking shape!

🧱Bricks of Brilliance: Shout-Outs & Spotlights

A big thank you to our wonderful PTO and hospitality committee, Mrs. Cofrancesco and Mrs. Schnurr! Our staff truly appreciated being welcomed with delicious bagels and a lounge stocked with snacks.

Planning for our spring musical is already underway! Shout out to Mrs. Manzo for all the hard work and excitement she put into the unveiling this week. We can’t wait to see the end result!
