SNOWBALL FIGHT.. in September? 🫠 4K, 4HB, and 4DP had an introduction to growth mindsets in their first official day of math! We stretched and expanded our brains before sharing what we find easy and challenging about math!

KR used blocks to create the setting for our star book - The Little Red Hen! The children then retold the story using puppets!

5C’s HOPES & DREAMS for 5th grade and our Class Contract created and signed by 5C! We are off to an incredible start! ✏️✍️🍎💙

KR had a great first week of school! The kindergartners developed new friendships and shared tons of smiles! Looking forward to an amazing year!

2RS enjoyed playing a new math game together! Way to go mathematicians➕

4th grade had an exciting first week in school. The students worked in teams to create a contraption to keep an egg safe from falling. Mr. Blake tested them by dropping them from the roof of Washington! They also celebrated Chuseok with Miss Kim and learned about Korean culture.

Happy Chuseok! Washington's fourth grade spent some time learning about the Korean holiday's traditions, discussing what it looks like to be respectful and aware of differing cultures, and participating in making "song-pyeon," a Korean sweet rice cake treat.

In honor of Patriot's Day on Sunday, the KR children made pictures of their heroes using loose parts! KR is thankful for all heroes... police officers, fire fighters and more!

KR readers enjoying books during reading workshop after discussing our favorite types of books to read!

A beautiful day to take our lesson outdoors! Learning about the number one!

5C is busy writing their Hopes and Dreams for 5th grade!!! ❤️🍎

Learning how to build structures that are "strong, beautiful, and safe" in KR!
