KR was so excited to visit the Little Free Library and discover copies of our first star book! We enjoyed using our puppets to act out The Little Red Hen as we read the book together!
1D practiced their first writing focus within our Pattern of Powers- starting our sentence with a capital letter! Students went beyond the focus and also found red words, CVC words and ending punctuation. Great job writers!

Second graders are finding many ways to make 10!!
1D learned how to play two Math games this week, Ten Frame Memory Match and Ten Frame Top It! They used their subitizing skills to find matches from numbers to 10 as well as determining the greater number!
In honor of Patriot Day, KR children developed a list of all the heroes in their lives! The children named fire fighters, police officers, family members, and more. They selected different loose parts to make their pictures and explained why the heroes were so important!
